[paragraph_big]I'm going to tell you what happened last night, December 22, 2017, before Christmas Eve, when Santa Claus decided to send me GIFs.[/paragraph_big]
It all started with this email...
While the designers, with their legendary organizational skills, were still making their list to Santa Claus, a young designer with a fine and chiseled typo, writes his brief to Santa UX Claus:
“Dear Designer Santa Claus,
This year as I was (almost) wise, I have a somewhat special request. I don't want a great method to clear up complicated subjects (I already have it), nor an extraordinary workshop to attack insoluble problems (idem), nor even tips for my user tests (idem). No no. This year, I want to go off-piste, down the slopes of beauty, magic, WOW...
Papa Noel, I want to be able to bring my presentations to life. I want them to be out of the ordinary, that they “entice” the eye of my audience. I want to finally put an end to my gray Powerpoint as a wireframe.
Do you have somewhere in your toolbox a little joy to bring me?
Kiss from a (ux) designer”
Proud of his email, he sent it without delay. It was then that began the wait, the stress and above all the hope of finally being able to have slideshows of which he could be proud.
Santa Claus is also an esthete
On the other side of the North Pole, at the reception service for Christmas lists, a Product Owner elf received this email. Noting the capital importance of the request, he puts it in Priority One in Jira.
The Patron Saint of Designers then immediately set to work. Aware of the reputation to be maintained, he does not intend to disappoint this young talent!
Without the slightest hesitation, he already knows what he's going to give her to make her wishes come true: GIFs!
James Curran – Perfect Loop & Humor
Eran Mendel – GIF Game of Thrones
Chris Phillips – Once started, nothing can stop him
Markus Magnusson – Surfing on the Moon
Tony Babel – The Worm is in the Apple
Tired by this early selection, he scrolls on his Facebook wall. Oneike on the last Don N post, another holy UX. And suddenly he realizes that….
Seth Eckert – Facebook & Emotions
Enrique Barone – Taxi & Furious
Vladimir Marchukov – cool attitude
19 p.m. It's time to go see The Last Jedi...Fran Solo – GIF Jedi
Guillaume Kurkdjian – The GIF acrobat
And finally, unable to resist it, he slips a screen animation GIF into this list.
Hoping to inspire our designer in the illustration of his work, he adds…
Yaroslav Zubko – Pizza GIF Ninja
And you, what will you receive?
Proud of his list, but with no time to waste, he moved on to making another gift. Maybe your… I wish you a UX Christmas!
