Here is a little early Christmas gift for you, designers, UX and DA: a musical selection by activity ! With the possible exception of Notion (more to come soon on this topic) music is by far my most effective productivity tool (except when I start getting lost creating or improving my Spotify playlists, I must admit).
So I wanted to share with you some of the music that works best for me, according to my activities as a designer.
card sorting
Emancipator – Soon it will be cold enough
The downtempo trip-hop group Emancipator will carry you away without interrupting your thoughts, thanks to their soft music mixing instruments and electronics. The compositions are so beautiful that they speak without words, perfect for your workshop!
six to one
Coeo – Cabrio Mango
You can't go wrong with Coeo!
Whatever your audience, its groovy sounds mixing world music will energize everyone for your 6to1 session.
crazy height
Jain – Dynabeat
Jain takes you over the rooftops of Bangkok with her very own music, full of colors and pep.
Perfect to stimulate you and attack this exercise!
Live sketching
Nissim – The Gaslamp Killer
A classic that gently takes us away, without agility even noticing.
Perfect for finding inspiration during live sketching!
wireframes
White Rabbit – Jefferson Airplane
Let's keep it classic for wireframes with this cult but often forgotten piece from Jefferson Airplane.
What better way to prepare for the future than to remember the past?
UI Design
Ball of Fire – Here and Him
The group ICI ET LUI combines jazz-pop influences and Congolese rhythm, a world tour guarantees with them.
Let's go to create models in rhythm, no need for coffee!
Graphical charter
You are never alone – Socalled
Let's change register again for the graphic charter! Like Socalled who dares while mixing hip-hop with Klezmer, fold and funk, dare everything in your charters. (Well, almost everything, okay?)
To go even further in the badass, you can listen to the playlist opposite.
Person
Thirteen Thirty-Five
What's like folk when talking about people? To sharpen your empathy, listen to the sad story of Dillon sung brilliantly.
As before, in addition to the title I offer you a playlist.
It really is Christmas.
Brainstorming
Coffee Time – Crackazat
What could be better than a Coffee Time to get started in group reflection?
I really do not know.
Put the volume a little louder and warm up this room for me!
I end the list on this note full of energy and smiles, and wish you a good discovery and happy holidays!
Good listening to all.
And see you tomorrow for new surprises in our UX-Republic Advent Calendar!
Kiss
