Throwback to the UX Star meetup #4

Anxious to meet and discuss with the professional communities of our sector, we organize meetups once a month in our premises, and it is always a great pleasure for us to do so!

TWO MEETUPS, TWO AUDIENCES

Thus, we have created two different meetups:

  • JS-Star who is mainly interested in front-end development issues (Datavisualization, rapid prototyping, material design, etc.).
  • UX star which focuses more on all methods, questions in UsereXperience (UX approaches in e-commerce, UX on mobile, etc.).
THE OBJECTIVE OF THESE MEETUPS
meetup

When we made the decision to organize these meetups, our leitmotif was to share knowledge and feedback from our core business communities.
We are lucky to practice professions where the evolution is constant, every day new concepts, new methods appear and it is important to keep abreast of these innovations in order to develop our own knowledge and skills.
The objective is also to benefit from the more expert views of people wishing to take advantage of their experiences by sharing advice, warnings, tips to adopt.

THE PROCEDURE OF A MEETUP

Whether it's a meetup JS-Star ou UX star, the procedure remains substantially the same.
The arrival time is in principle fixed at 19:00 p.m. in our Parisian premises, then once everyone is installed, one or more UX-Republic founders introduce(s) the meetup by presenting in particular the various presentations that will follow.
In general, we listen to 3 different speakers (for about twenty minutes). Between each of the presentations, we reserve 5 minutes for questions (which can be continued later during informal exchanges).
Then come beers and pizzas for all, a very friendly moment where we can share and debrief on the presentations while drinking and eating healthy.
