Meetup Loopback Paris #2 @JS-Republic

In our premises last Tuesday, the second edition of the Meetup Loopback Paris took place. What was told?
First of all, remember that Loopback is a high-level framework developed by StrongLoop and IBM. It is used to quickly build Node.js applications by supporting the modeling of domain entities, their mapping to the database (ORM) and the exposure in the form of API REST of these said entities.
Aurelie VioletteAurelie Violette (@purple_orwell), Freelance developer and manager of the meetup, opens the ball of presentations with an explanation on the customization of second level filters with Loopback. It was an opportunity to demystify this underlying functionality of Loopback used by the ORM in order to better correspond to our need.

Clement RicateauThen, it was the turn of Clément Ricateau to explain to us how we could import data with Loopback in a fairly simple way. Through feedback from a 9-month Loopback project in a large company, he explains how to build a data import system based on the mixins and SQL transactions of the ORM of Loopback.

Samy GhribiFinally, Samy Ghribi had the opportunity to explain to us how he easily created Fixtures in his project by developing a Loopback plugin called loopback-fixtures. This plugin aims to use faker.js to create random data and return it to the Loopback application.

This meetup then closed around the now classic Pizzas/Beers. Invested in the community, Js-Republic is delighted to host and sponsor JavaScript community meetups. If you too are looking for a place to host a meetup, do not hesitate to contact us at: hello@js-republic.com
